Enkele Perspektiewe vanuit ’n Christelike Lewensvisie en Filosofie
Abstract
From a Christian worldviewish perspective this study intends contributing to a better understanding of the contemporary crisis in agriculture as well as its possible solution. It starts with a list of some major problems indicating the crisis. Then three basic factors (a distorted view on reality, on nature and on agriculture), causing these problems, are investigated. This is followed by an in-depth discussion of the nature or “identity” of agriculture as viewed from a Biblical-Reformational philosophy. The concluding section contains some implications of such an entire Christian perspective which may counteract the crisis and provide new direction to present-day agribusiness.
